2017 has proven to be yet another year of fantastic results achieved by students. This is as a direct result of the impressive work ethic of students supported by the highly skilled and dedicated staff at Humberston.
81% of our students achieved the new GCSE standard of 9-4 in English and 78% of our students achieved the same measure in GCSE Maths.
Dan Shoubridge, Acting Principal, said: “Last year Humberston Academy was named in the top 15% of schools nationally for progress and attainment, and I am delighted that we are continuing to exceed and excel.”
The tables, which compare the 2016 GCSE results of secondary schools and academies across England saw the academy being ranked at the top of the tables for Progress 8, Attainment 8 and the percentage of students that achieve the English Baccalaureate.

Humberston also offers:

- An ethos of mutual respect and love of learning
- Outstanding teaching and learning
- A small, caring environment
- Every student is treated as individual
- Broadening horizons by being part of the David Ross Educational Trust, which provides the students with exceptional sporting and cultural opportunities.
Excellence for all through broadening students' horizons through outstanding academic education, focused enrichment and sporting opportunities.
At Humberston we are proud to be a leading education provider in our local community. We seek to broaden the horizons of each and every one of our students helping them to achieve at the highest level both academically and within their talents outside the classroom, upholding our vision of Excellence for All.
We understand that every student needs a strong academic foundation in order to achieve their full potential. At our Academy we combine an innovative curriculum with a strong house structure which ensures that students receive all the support and guidance they need to succeed.
At Humberston the values of respect and good behaviour are instilled from the outset and a high attendance is a priority ensuring that students leave the Academy as young people that the whole community can be proud of, is a crucial part of our educational offer.
Over the last few years Humberston Academy has continued to strengthen and develop but we do not rest on our previous successes. We are pround of the significant investment that has been made in our buildings and environment and the impact that this is having on our students.
Our focus is on first class teaching and recruiting outstanding practitioners. Quality teachers are the people who inspire our students to great things.
