Grimsby's Humberston Academy named as finalist for Police Lifestyle Awards

Grimsby’s Humberston Academy, which is part of the David Ross Education Trust, has reached the final stages of Humberside Police Lifestyle Awards.


Humberston Academy, which is North East Lincolnshire’s Top Performing School is one of three senior finalists for the prestigious Lifestyle Award. The annual awards recognise and celebrate the incredible community spirit and hard work shown by young people across the Humberside area.


Two students from Humberston Academy, Abbie Clorley and Libby Gregory, created and delivered parcels for hospital inpatients, women refugees and homeless people.


Matt Watling, Principal at Humberston Academy, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Abbie and Libby have been named as finalists for the Humberside Police Lifestyle Awards.


“Developing a community spirit is an extremely important part of life at Humberston Academy. Our students take part in a number of projects throughout the year to help give back to local residents as thanks for their ongoing support.


“This acknowledgement is a testament to all of the incredible efforts of our students who are wholeheartedly committed to the local community that they serve.”
