Humberston hit the slopes

During February half term, excited students and staff at Humberston Academy travelled to Austria to experience a Winter Olympic venue.

During the nine-day visit, students had the chance to attempt a challenging downhill course at the ski resort. The perfect snowy conditions meant that in the evenings students were able to compete in the annual Humberston Sport snowball fight.

Jack, a Year 10 student at Humberston Academy, said: “It was an amazing experience. I had a great time!

“Thank you so much to the staff and instructors for this incredible opportunity."

Matt Watling, Principal at Humberston Academy, said: “The students were excellently behaved and a real credit to the academy.”
