We are an outstanding Academy and proud of our exceptionally high standards and traditional ethos.
2020 has proven to be a challenging year for us all. Nevertheless, at Humberston Academy we were still able to celebrate strong outcomes for our incredible students. However, during the pandemic we were also able to demonstrate a different kind of excellence.
Humberston Academy remained open for students who were identified as vulnerable or whose parents or carers were classed as critical workers. We were able to offer a varied curriculum and more importantly keep students safe. Humberston Academy dedicated time to wellbeing calls on a weekly basis in addition to providing online lessons immediately as we entered lockdown.
Staff insisted on remaining open to key students during half term breaks and bank holidays. This demonstrate how incredibly supportive our school was during a period of anxiousness for many families.
Dan Shoubridge, Principal, said: “Humberston Academy was awarded World Class Schools status in December and during lockdown our staff and students demonstrated a world class approach to remote learning with a firm focus on welfare. I am proud and delighted that we are continuing to exceed and excel.”
We have now fully re-opened our school and continue to demonstrate an outstanding approach to education with exceptionally high standards and traditional ethos. However, it is not all about academic achievement; we are also passionate about enrichment in order to develop skills outside of the classroom. We are a growing, oversubscribed, hard-working academy, with a positive, business-like and purposeful atmosphere where students can develop and broaden their horizons

At Humberston Academy, we are proud to be a leading education provider in our local community. We seek to broaden the horizons of each and every one of our students helping them to achieve at the highest level both academically and within their talents outside the classroom, upholding our vision of Excellence for All.
We understand that every student needs a strong academic foundation in order to achieve their full potential. At our Academy we combine an innovative curriculum with a strong house structure which ensures that students receive all the support and guidance they need to succeed.
At Humberston Academy, the values of respect, traditional manners and good behaviour are instilled from the outset and a high attendance is a priority ensuring that students leave the academy as young people that the whole community can be proud of, is a crucial part of our educational offer.
Over the last few years Humberston Academy has continued to strengthen and develop but we do not rest on our previous successes. We are proud of the significant investment that has been made in our buildings and environment and the impact that this is having on our students.
Our focus is on first class teaching and recruiting outstanding practitioners. Quality teachers are the people who inspire our students to great things.
