Iceland Trip 2024
Day 1 in Iceland - . A smooth start and journey over and on our first day we visited the bridge between two continents. Students and staff stood in a rift created by the expanding Icelandic Geography whilst an ecstatic Mr Lee shared his knowledge.
Day 2 fully underway. First stop Kerid Crater then onto Thingvellir National Park where the students had a talk about the folk tales of the area including trolls and elves
Day 3 complete! Just brilliant! No words to describe what a fantastic day which both students and staff have had.
We have visited the bubbling mud springs and learnt about the power of geothermal energy in the fight against climate change before exploring the capital Reykjavik and enjoying ice cream! Finally a trip to a Lava tunnel - what an incredible experience!
4th and final day, Skogafoss Waterfall, truly stunning and a difficult waterfall to top! Beautiful weather too.
Then on to black sand beaches with sea stacks and basalt columns... What an experience to see whales from the beach... We are all having a whale of a time!
