World Down Syndrome Day
Today is World Down Syndrome Day. Team Humberston 'rocked our socks'. This awareness day happens on the 21st of the 3rd month to recognise the third copy of the 21st
chromosome. (The extra chromosome). Toby N took time out today to celebrate with his key worker, Mrs Atkins and Mr Shoubridge.

What is Down Syndrome? Down syndrome is a condition in which a person has an extra chromosome. Chromosomes are small “packages” of genes in the body. They determine how a baby's body forms and functions as it grows during pregnancy and after birth.
