Secondary school is an important time in a child’s development into adulthood. Whilst we remain one of the top performing secondary schools in the local area and nationally we also believe it is our responsibility to prepare each student for life beyond Humberston Academy.
We believe every student has a talent and it is our duty to guide, nurture and support each individual on their journey towards greatness.
Our mission is to equip students with academic success, experiences, a greater depth of empathy and a sense of ambition. Our pastoral system is imperative to shaping each child at Humberston Academy. We encourage students to be independent, resilient and confident learners. Our team offers a caring and supportive environment, which includes designated members of staff who are focused on ensuring a smooth transition from primary to secondary school.
More of our students than ever before are heading to some of the country’s top universities and apprenticeship programmes following their time with us, opening a wealth of new possibilities and helping to raise aspirations amongst our current students.
